Skippers Use 26 Point Fourth Quarter to Defeat Jackson 74-69

Port Huron, MI. — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's basketball team earned a hard‑fought 74–69 home victory over Jackson College on Wednesday night, improving to 18–7 overall and 9–1 in MCCAA Eastern Conference play.

SC4 delivered a balanced offensive performance, with four players scoring in double figures and the team shooting an efficient 40.9% from the field. After entering halftime tied at 32, the Skippers fell behind in the third quarter before surging ahead with a decisive 26‑point fourth quarter, to take down the Jets.

  • Kyrieona Carter led all scorers with 25 points to go along with her 14 rebounds.
  • Myana Cooksey added 16 points to the Skippers' effort, including 9 in the fourth quarter.
  • Iliana Williams put up a double-double scoring 11 points while pulling down a game high 16 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists.
  • Taylor Wallace also scored 10.

SC4 dominated on the boards, outrebounding Jackson 54–36, including 16 offensive rebounds that led to multiple second‑chance scoring opportunities.

With the win, SC4 held its spot in second place in the conference with 5 games left to play. They host Macomb Community College this Saturday with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 PM.
