SC4 Thumbcoast Tip-Off Draws Eventual National Champions to Port Huron

Port Huron, Mich. — The SC4 Fieldhouse served as a national showcase for elite college basketball as both the NJCAA Division II men's and women's basketball champions competed in Port Huron during the SC4 Thumbcoast Tip-Off this past November.

On the men's side, Parkland College (Ill.), the newest NJCAA Division II men's basketball national champion, headlined a highly competitive field at the SC4 Fieldhouse. On the women's side, Pima Community College (Ariz.), the NJCAA Division II women's national champion, brought championship-caliber basketball to Port Huron, underscoring the Thumbcoast Tip-Off's growing national profile.

The women's event also featured additional nationally recognized programs. Illinois Central College, which finished fourth at the NJCAA Division II Women's National Tournament, and Lansing Community College, which placed fifth nationally, were both part of the Thumbcoast Tip-Off field. Their presence further solidified the tournament as one of the premier early-season events in NJCAA women's basketball.

Hosting the top teams in both NJCAA Division II men's and women's basketball at the SC4 Fieldhouse highlights the continued rise of the SC4 Thumbcoast Tip-Off as a destination for championship-level competition, bringing national attention, high-quality matchups, and an exceptional atmosphere to Port Huron.

Dates have already been set for the 2026 editions of the event. The 2026 SC4 Thumbcoast Tip-Off (Women's) will take place November 12–14, followed by the men's tournament November 19–21, once again at the SC4 Fieldhouse in Port Huron.
