Women's Cross Country take 11th Place at NJCAA DII Cross Country National Championship

Fort Dodge, IA - The Women's Cross Country Team braved the freezing temperatures and snow in Fort Dodge, IA on November 8 at the NJCAA DII Cross Country National Championships. The women placed 11th out of 44 teams after being ranked 8th leading up to the race.

Brynn Hurley led the squad, placing 15th overall in a time of 19:45.3. Hurley's determination the entire raced allowed her to achieve All-American honors by the NJCAA, USTFCCCA and NJCAA Coaches Association. Kate Bennett also put forth an awarding-winning performance, taking 28th place, earning NJCAA Coaches Association All-American honors. Julia Rogers, Rowan Conley and Jenna Denver completed the scoring runners on the team, allowing the team's 11th place finish. Charlotte O'Brien and Angelina Ross fought hard through the snow and mud rounding out the varsity squad.

The women will take a short break before gearing up for the Indoor Track season, which will kick off on December 5th at the SVSU Holiday Open, hosted by Saginaw Valley State University.
