Terrell Scores 26 As the Skippers Complete Postponed Contest, Defeat Mott 81–74

Flint, MI. — St. Clair County Community College (SC4) men's basketball resumed and completed its previously postponed contest against Mott Community College on Monday night, finishing what started on January 10 and securing a critical 81–74 road victory to move to 6-5 in MCCAA Eastern Conference play.

The game, halted at halftime on January 10 with SC4 leading 42–39, picked up exactly where it left off—and the Skippers didn't miss a beat. SC4 outscored Mott 39–35 in the resumed second half to close out the conference win.

Sophomore big De'Andre Terrell delivered a standout performance, posting 26 points and 8 rebounds to pace the Skippers on both ends of the floor.

Kevin Tiggs added 20 points and 8 rebounds against his former team, while Chris McLavish contributed 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Off the bench, Wasir James scored 9 to go along with his 8 rebounds.

The Skippers shot 41.7% from the field in the half they played last night and 40.8% for the game.

Head Coach Richard Field credited his team's focus in returning to a game that had been dormant for over a month.

"It's not easy to restart a game this far removed from when it began, but our guys showed great maturity," Field said. "We treated tonight like it was a brand-new second half, and our players executed exactly how we needed them to."

SC4 continues MCCAA Eastern Conference play on the road at Wayne County CC on Wednesday before returning home to host Henry Ford for their last regular season home game on Saturday. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
