Skippers Battle Hard in Four-Set Thriller Against North Central Michigan College

Port Huron, MI — The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) women's volleyball team put up a strong fight at home against North Central Michigan College, ultimately falling in a competitive four-set match (21-25, 24-26, 25-18, 24-26).

Despite the loss, the Skippers showcased resilience and standout individual performances throughout the match. Breanna Gentner led the offense with 13 kills, while Bella McCamman added 11 kills and 11 digs. Ava Oleski chipped in with 9 kills, and Addison Bolen set the pace with 37 assists and 10 digs.

Defensively, Riley Robertson anchored the back row with 18 digs, and Grace Ropes added 17 digs and a perfect hitting percentage on her lone attack. The team totaled 68 digs and 6 block assists, showing grit against a tough opponent.

SC4 turned it oon as the match progressed, hitting .244 in the third set and .243 in the fourth, nearly forcing a decisive fifth set.

The Skippers now hold a 6-5 overall record as they head into MCCAA Eastern Conference play.
