PORT HURON, Mich. — SC4 men's soccer standout Luis Carlos Fariñas has been named Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Player of the Week, following a dominant performance that helped propel the Skippers to an 2-0 victory over #17 Schoolcraft College.
Fariñas, known for his explosive speed and creative playmaking, contributed both goals in the MCCAA Championship clinching win. His impact has been felt all season, helping SC4 secure the MCCAA Eastern Conference title and a top seed in the upcoming NJCAA Region 12 Tournament.
"Luis brings energy and flair to our attack," said SC4 head coach Brian Alumbaugh. "He's a game-changer who can shift momentum in an instant, and his work ethic sets a great example for the team."
