Competing in one of the region's premier early‑season meets, the Skippers rose to the occasion against top-tier opposition and delivered their most complete team showing of the year.
The meet got off to an explosive start in the 60-meter hurdles, where Dion Edwards rewrote SC4 history by clocking a program‑record 9.55. The performance marked a major step forward for the freshman, who has shown steady progression throughout the early indoor schedule.
Freshman Donte Fenderson continued his emergence as one of the team's most dynamic young sprinters. He placed second in his 60m heat with a crisp 7.26, then returned with an impressive double, posting the fastest Skipper 200m time of the meet at 23.62. His versatility and competitive edge provided a major spark for the sprint group.
