55 Skippers Earn Academic Awards 

This year was tough for many, but despite big changes in learning processes, SC4 student-athletes proved they can persevere even in the toughest times. 

55 Skippers earned individual All-Conference Academic Honors by earning a 3.0 GPA or higher, and 47 of the 55 also earned individual All-MCCAA Academic honors by earning a 3.2 GPA or higher. Five Skippers teams earned a team GPA of a 3.0 or higher earning them Academic All-MCCAA honors and NJCAA All-Academic Team Honors: Women's Bowling, Women's Cross Country, Women's Soccer, Softball and Women's Volleyball.  

17 Skippers earned individual NJCAA All Academic Team honors by earning a 3.6 GPA or higher. Athletic Director Dale Vos stated, "This year was harder than usual for students with requirements for most, if not all, classes to be online. With added stresses of being COVID tested and sports seasons starting/stopping/starting again, these young men and women showed tremendous focus on their academics."  

Vos continued, "We are very proud of the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, and for the extra work they put in to learn at home this year and be successful at it. We are looking forward to continuing the academic success into the fall as students make their long-awaited return to campus." 

NJCAA Academic First Team with a 4.0 GPA: Trenton Livingston (Men's Cross Country).  

NJCAA All Academic Second Team with a 3.80-3.99 GPA: Jessica Badley (Women's Bowling), Paul Donnellon (Men's Golf), Joeleen Gaffney (Volleyball), Katlyn Judd (Women's Soccer), Alison Lacey (Softball), Christopher Lilly (Wrestling), Drew Mayes (Men's Cross Country), Lillianna Rodriguez (Women's Cross Country), Caitlyn Rogers (Women's Cross Country), Cameryn Smith (Softball), and Kayla Whiting (Women's Soccer).  

NJCAA All Academic Third Team with a 3.60-3.79 GPA: Luke Acton (Men's Bowling), Katelyn Heiden (Women's Bowling), Olivia Jovanovich (Volleyball), Ethan Strong (Baseball), and Martin Wrobel (Baseball).
